A jobless agoraphobe, addicted to the man-made worlds of a distant descendant of the internet, has become targeted for assassination by forces beyond her understanding. With nobody she could really call an enemy or a friend, she must face the dangers of "meatspace", and survive a conspiracy that has invisibly ruled her entire life.
An agent of the city's all-seeing secret police finds himself blackmailed with the lives of the unborn children of his long-dead wife. Pushed to the limits by his deceit and his past, how far is he willing to go to save his legacy?
Follow their lives as a string of catastrophes threatens not only themselves, but everything they think they know about the city!
"Technocrat did a remarkable job at bringing his virtual universe alive and making you wonder what else exists outside of Latha's grubby little apartment...If you like adventure games, grew up with Shadowrun or just plain enjoy good games, I recommend you go play this now.
- Cassandra Khaw, the Indie Games Weblog
"Deceivingly minimalistic in its presentation the one-room Technobabylon episode manages to deliver quite an adventure, all thanks to strong puzzle design and writing."
- Igor Hardy
A cyberpunk tale in a city where privacy is a distant memory, Technobabylon is a classically-styled point-and-click adventure, featuring an artstyle evocative of both the games of the nineties, and the technological dystopias of fiction spanning the past forty years.
Based upon a series of earlier projects (which earned positive reviews and acclaim from critics), the game is a reinvention of their concepts. In association with Wadjet Eye Games, and the artistic talents of Ben Chandler and Ivan Ulyanov, Technocrat Games will be bringing you the kind of story that is best served through interactive fiction.
Production is currently underway, with a projected release date of early 2015. Keep up to date with where we're at by following the news log, or join the Twitter feed for updates!
